What started out as a bunch of befriended Nixon team riders sharing some waves together, developed into an annual and much anticipated event. Other than traditional high-stress competitions, the Nixon Surf Challenge is all about having fun, a relaxed atmosphere and an emphasis on free-surfing and style. A group of hand-picked surfers gets the change to participate in this invite-only event, drawing talents from all around the world. In the end the team decides together who the winner is following a non-traditional scoring system. This is what makes the Nixon Surf Challenge so unique and the ideal environment to showcase some skills and creativity in surfing.
